Welcome to Cleveland's Somali Community Center

The Somali Bantu Community Corporation of Cleveland (SBCOC) is an officially recognized 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization founded by Somali immigrants in 2005. It is Central Ohio's leading voice for Somali immigrants and first grass-roots organization to serve the Somali refugee community.

We provide assistance to refugees and their families as they work to gain their citizenship. Our immigration and citizenship programs provide guidance and resources to help refugees navigate the complexities of the immigration process and achieve their dreams of becoming citizens. We are committed to helping refugees realize their full potential and achieve their goals of becoming legal citizens.

Immigration & citizenship programs

Our community is committed to providing educational opportunities to everyone, no matter their age. We provide after school tutoring for kids to help them reach their academic potential and adult education classes to equip adults with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the workplace. We strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can reach their full potential.

Our Events

At our Community, we are committed to ensuring that no one goes hungry. That's why we host a food drive every month, open to everyone in the neighborhood. Our food drive provides essential groceries and other food items to those in need. We believe that everyone should have access to healthy, nutritious food, and we are proud to be able to provide that to our community.
